I am writing to express my disappointment with Target’s recent decisions regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion . As a loyal customer who has shopped at Target weekly for groceries and household items due to the store’s convenience, quality, and product selection, I am saddened to say that I will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. I have always appreciated Target’s commitment to providing a welcoming shopping experience, but I can no longer overlook the lack of a meaningful effort to ensure that all people feel represented and valued — not only in your product offerings but also within your workforce and corporate practices. Companies have a responsibility to reflect the diversity of the communities they serve and to foster an environment where all employees and customers feel seen and supported. Because of this, I have decided to drive further to shop at stores that demonstrate a clear and mindful commitment to DEI. I hope that Target will reconsider its approach and renew its focus on meaningful representation and inclusivity, as this is an essential value for many customers, including myself.

I understand retail is thankless and hard. I worked in retail for years. I get that the pay isn’t great - so I’ll forgive a lot. And to be honest, the young guy at the register was pleasant and cheerful, even a few days after the holiday rush. What I won’t forgive is outright rudeness and being disagreeable for no apparent reason - and the older fellow at the electronics counter wasn’t just unprofessional (sitting with his head down at the customer side of the counter), he was rude afterwards, I’m not sure why, but mid afternoon on Monday December 30 that was the case. Sorry I upset you so much by being a customer.

The truth is, if you’re looking for the best price on just about anything, and you want instant gratification (aka you don’t want to order on Amazon), Target is probably your place.. Of course Walmart is always an option, but let’s just say that’s a whole different shopping experience!! The parking lot here in Riverhead is huge so you’ll always find a spot, and the staff is well trained and always helpful.. Their selection of products seems to keep expanding to offer better quality and even the Target brands seem to get better over time.. The clothing is simple and trendy and definitely reasonably priced.. The electronics department has a huge selection of consumer level products at good prices.. They carry a wide range of Apple products, GoPro, and even DJI drones.. We all know that their toy selection offers more to choose from than any kid really needs! Over the last few years they’ve begun selling lots of health brands in their supplement/pharmacy section, as well as their produce.. They really do have some great food options now, ranging from organic produce and non dairy products, to kombucha and organic coconut water.. Definitely a good option to have this Target right here in Riverhead.. Did I mention that there’s a Starbucks in the store?!?

Just like walmart 10-12 registers but only 2 open!! So frustrating!!! Especially during holiday season there is no sense of "quick and easy checkout" make us work the register to buy what we want then we have to check out ourselves should get paid to shop here
