I bought a Super Nintendo and multiple games for it and for my N64. All of them worked great, were clean, and the owner was incredibly helpful and nice while my wife and I shopped. We love coming by and checking out the sales and events. It's a great place for nerds and geeks of all ages to play games and hang out. A friend of mine's son even did his senior pictures here. I can't recommend the place enough.

All the reviews about them being overpriced is very true. I wanted to go in and get a fight stick same day as deciding I wanted one. Didn't do any research and they had two options. I went with the cheaper 85$ one. Since I had 80$ cash they accepted that instead of the 85. Went home and was satisfied with it. Then I looked it up online and saw the going price was 60-65. If you are price conscious, haggle them down with cash or don't buy here. Edit: As seen in other reviews the owner denies it and asks for proof. It is kinda desperate and petty. I did not look hard for the 60-65 dollar price point. Literally looked up the product and it was the first thing to pop up.

Response to owner: Well after two years I got a response. I edited review and then all of a sudden my review is addressed, but it’s because it got bumped to the top. What I posted is in fact true to anyone reading. Why would I make this up? Silly I trusted a small business only to be dishonest about repairs. It’s a joke you charged me 70$ for doing absolutely nothing to my console. What on earth made you feel that by NOT fixing it, would you charge that much. Had you fixed it, fine.you may have forgot, but I had to call twice to the store and show up in person to get a partial refund because you wouldn’t budge over the phone. (I did talk to you) Your cashier handed me the phone like it was a game of Deal-or-No-Deal and you were the one calling the shots up in the box. At first the policy was no refunds on repairs, but after insisting nothing was done, I was given a partial refund. Funny how I brought it in the box it came with and looked the EXACT same when I picked it up. (Inserts and all) Thought I wouldn’t notice but that was actually done in case some sort of mix up happened with my console and another. (Guess to catch this scam too!) And the warranty sticker, tech didn’t do jack shit. What did you guys do, plug it in and that’s it? Why did it take a week and you had nothing to take apart or put back? Too busy pretending to do nothing? If I was dishonest, I guess I’d make really good money doing what you do. Wonder how else you guys take advantage in your shop? Just here to keep my review bumped to the top after they lied about attempting to fix my PS3 but never took it out of the box. Hope the 35$ you scammed me out of was worth the review. Don’t bring your console here to get fixed. They’ll just sit in the back for a week, call you saying it’s unfixable, and then keep the 70$ charge. (Got half back at least) Attached were the photos of the box I brought it in. Never took it out after I packaged it. Warranty sticker untouched. Owner never responded because he was wrong and knew it and never made it right.

Sage Mantis Game Haven has been a regular stop for me anytime I find myself in the Fredericksburg area. I've found so many additions to my collection at this awesome local shop. Even when I don't, it's great to just chop it up with Sage when he's in the shop, he's a super cool guy. Their annual sidewalk sale is always worth checking out too. Now that I've started finally working on SNES and NES collections, I'm sure I'll find some nice pick ups at the Game Haven.

Been going to Sage’s for over a decade now. Anytime you need to find a retro game or the latest and finest TCG this is the place to be. The tournaments that are hosted and events they have are absolutely worth it. If you haven’t been you’re missing out.
