I traveled to New York with my family this winter, and I looked up “hobby shops in nyc” and this was the first shop that showed up. I saw the reviews about the owner being rude, but none of those were the case this time. He was really helpful and offered to open all the glass shelves for me to see the models inside. I ended up getting a CM model, and the pricing was great, nothing too expensive as far as I could see. We checked out, and when I asked for his card, he gave me one with 4$ of “caboose money” to spend on our next visit. If you’re in the area, and a hobby shop sounds enticing, stop by. Definitely gonna come back next time I’m here!

I've been visiting this place since 2012. This is Sin City for anyone who's into collecting vintage trains, cars, planes. The gentleman who runs this place is a walking computer with information about pretty much everything. I love this place. Get a bag load of money and start shopping here. Lots of love from India.

Great place to find that hard to find or out of the ordinary. Ask for what you are looking for or roll up the sleeves. In any case, it's worth the stop. Price maybe be reatail but I feel great supporting small businesses.

This is quite a place. A subterranean treasure trove of model paraphernalia. Mainly trains and accessories but a good selection of sci-f, planes and military vehicles. The guy that runs the place is part of the shop. I imagine he’s been there for years and has encyclopaedic knowledge of the industry.

It's an interesting store, hidden away in a small basement with only a sign outside to tell you it's there, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're a model railroader visiting Midtown Manhattan. They have just about anything in any scale: G, O, HO, N, and even Z, as well as lots of plastic scale model kits for military vehicles and the like. Be warned, though, this store has many tight spaces, and since the store owner can't always see you, he might accuse you of trying to steal something - this happened to me the last time I went.
