Picnic Introduce

For local users in Brooklyn, New York, Picnic is located at 179 Court St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA. You can reach them by phone at (718) 237-0679 or mobile phone at +1 718-237-0679.

Picnic appears to be a children’s boutique that offers clothing and potentially other items suitable as gifts for children, which could align it with the "Toy Store Near Me" category for customers seeking such products.

However, the available customer reviews focus almost exclusively on negative experiences with the store's staff. One reviewer who came in to shop for outfits for their nephew described the woman at the register, who seems to be a regular presence, as "downright rude." They found her tone when answering questions to be "completely unnecessary," especially in a customer-facing role within a small children’s boutique. This experience was so negative that the reviewer stated they have "no desire to ever step foot in that store again" and believe that unless the staff changes, the store will continue to lose customers due to similar bad experiences.

Another local resident shared a similar sentiment. After an initial visit with their 2-year-old where they encountered "possibly one of the rudest staff," they decided to give the store a second chance due to its proximity. Unfortunately, they reported the "same experience" and have concluded that they "will never be back bec the staff is just so rude and was not any help." They described being met with shortness and a lack of assistance when asking for specific items, leading to a feeling of being unwelcome despite the store's convenient location. This reviewer also noted that others seem to have had similar experiences with the rude staff and stated they will definitely not recommend Picnic, opting to travel elsewhere for their needs.

Based on these reviews, the environment of Picnic is a children’s boutique that may offer clothing and gifts for children. However, a significant feature highlighted by multiple customers is the reportedly rude and unhelpful behavior of the staff, particularly a woman frequently at the register. Services would include retail sales of their products, but the negative staff interactions seem to severely detract from the customer experience. No information regarding specific products, unique features beyond being a local children’s store, or any promotional information is available. The overwhelming feedback points to a major issue with customer service.

The staff here is incredibly rude, and it seems I’m not the only one who has encountered this behavior. I came in to shop for a few outfits for my nephew, but the woman at the register who appears to be there all the time was downright rude. Her tone when responding to questions is completely unnecessary, especially for someone working in a small children’s boutique with a customer facing role. I have no desire to ever step foot in that store again. Unless they change their staff, they will continue to lose customers because I’m clearly not the only one who has had a bad experience with this salesperson.

I came in once with my 2 yr old and possibly one of the rudest staff. Since I live in the neighborhood I wanted to give them another try. Same experience and I will never be back bec the staff is just so rude and was not any help. When I asked for certain things they were short with me and did not help me at all. It’s nice that there’s a kids store a block away from me but I just don’t feel welcomed there. Looks like I’m not the only one who had experience with the rude staff. Will def not recommend and will travel to go somewhere else.

I can’t say enough good things about this small, woman owned business! I live in an area with very few shopping options so I do most of my shopping online. I stumbled upon Picnic, Brooklyn while searching for a specific Jellycat bunny. I placed my order and received an alert in less than an hour that my package was in transit. It arrived in two days!! I was so pleased with everything about my experience. They have a fabulous and unique selection, quick shipping and lovely packaging. Needless to say, I have ordered from them several times since! I’d like to give a special shout out to the store manager. She has gone above and beyond to answer my questions and make me feel that I am a valued customer. Thank you PICNIC for being AMAZING! A++++++

Echoing the same sentiments as others here: this is easily the least accessible kid’s store and has the rudest staff. I came in with my 9 month old in a stroller and was quickly met with a super rude “That’s where the stroller stops.” Just work with me here: I want to shop here. You want me to shop here. Just a simple “Hey it’s tough to get the stroller past there but you can park it in front and keep browsing.” There is no reason to be so rude to your customers. I don’t understand how you expect single parents to be able to shop at your stores. Your customers ride in strollers: accept it and help us out a tiny bit. Needless to say, I had such a bad taste in my mouth that I immediately booked it out of there and bought something that I had seen from another retailer online. Just… don’t go here.

Literally don’t even know how the store is because I walked in just now and turned immediately back around. They said I had to park the stroller and walk around the store. No hello. Didn’t even look up from their phone. Just told me to leave me stroller then walk around. Which is kind of nuts considering the neighborhood is all families- people can’t always take their kid out of the stroller or leave them in it parked inside. There was 1 other person in the store. Just another rude entitled rich store owner I’m sure.
