Short version: Rear side of main street, facing train station. Closed mondays. Amazing selection of new and old, great customer service and competitve prices. Detailed version: read on! This place is a hidden gem! You can find the store on the backside of mainstreet, facing the train station. Always plenty of parking spots and being able to avoid the constant traffic on main street is a big plus. Open six days a week 12 noon-6:00pm, closed on mondays. Like a lot of the old converted buildings, the shop is a bit small but the space is utilized well, basically, it's packed! Part toy shop, and part collectibles shop. The owner, Bill, really didn't want to pigeonhole the shop to cater to one extreme or the other. He's got brand new merchandise, vintage, and genuine antiques. He strives to stock what people are asking for and stays up to date on what's trending. He's got stuff for the youngsters and things their parents (or grandparents!) will enjoy too. He has a gaming closet that's stacked high with new board games and some real novelty vintage finds, card games and dice too. He has loads of action figures, statues and model kits (including gundam), graphic mugs and tumblers, pop figures and plushies. He has framed art and signed art and comic books. He has shelves of entertainment media; console games, some DVDs related to merchandise and a small selection of books / graphic novels. He stocks old consoles and hand helds when he can get them, always tested and in working order. He has display cases with some really unique antique pieces, action figures and tin cars, busts and statues. Too much to name, but a little bit of everything makes for interesting browsing! Bill is flexible on price, really fair and honest. Space is limited and he'd rather keep the merchandise fresh than hold on to it for a few extra bucks. With the exception of the occasional consigned item or a price already reduced, he is always willing to negotiate. Speaking of consignment, he has a few real serious collectors that come around to offload some items from time to time. He's very discriminating on what he takes but most of these items are rare finds in great condition. Bill is quite active on social media and updates his Instagram frequently. Anything coming into the shop, new or old, gets it's 15 minutes of fame with quality photos and descriptions--as a result alot of these items will sell out quickly. He also has an up to date website for easy ordering if you can't make it into the shop. Bill has accounts with a lot of distributors and a few of those are local, ordering something new you've been looking for is no trouble. And as he can pick it up in person, it's a short wait till you have your treasure. If you're looking for something hard to find, he can put out requests with his fellow collectors too. Obviously, I know the owner. He's a great guy that decided to turn his passion into a business. He really enjoys what he does and interacting with the customers who share his love of all things "nerdy". He's very knowledgeable and will likely know about that obscure toy you remember from your childhood or that elusive rare piece to round out your collection. He also has a great eye for that unique display piece; sometimes the odd subject matter or even just the imagery on a box is what really fuels the appeal. He frequents the toy circuits; comicon and toy fair are multi day affairs. He becomes your "tour guide" updating social media all day with pictures and information on events. He often has exclusive items or access to guaranteed preorders to ensure you get the item you've been waiting for. This place has really great customer service! You won't be disappointed if you stop by. You can also call to check for a special item you're on the hunt for, or check out the website. Shopping made fun and easy!
