I don’t think I’ve ever posted a review but I was quite disappointed with build a bear. It was my son’s first birthday so we went for the $1 bear. The first woman I spoke with was unpleasant (an older woman). I was expecting more cheerfulness from a build a bear employee especially on my son’s first birthday. It was just overall not super enjoyable. First time and last time unfortunately. And after all of that, the sound button in the bears hand doesn’t even work majority of the time

I hate to post this review, especially around holiday time. We have been customers at Build A Bear since my children were young. I now have grandchildren and have been to the same location many times. We have always been greeted by highly energetic, kid friendly staff. NOT today! It was my youngest granddaughter's first visit with her older cousins, so it was a special day. We were greeted by a "salesperson", and I say salesperson because that is solely what he was interested in. He had no warm, friendly, young child charisma at all and rushed us through the process, while trying to sell every single upcharge along the way. While checking out, he first tried to sell a backpack for each item, then a box, and left it at that for .95 cents. I asked, do you not have the paper bags any more? He huffed and shoved all three stuffed animals in 1 bag, ripping the bag during the process. I proceeded to ask for a bag for each child to carry out. Michael needs a LOT of training, or to find a job he is happier with. I will not go back to this location and do not recommend.

I went there on Christmas Eve with my three small children. As we walked in, the lady working in the front seemed very irritated that we had the audacity to even walk in the door by look on her face. The look of distain towards us on this person's face was so obvious that my 6-year-old even commented "I don't think that lady likes us" when we were checking out. I don't know if she was annoyed she was working on the holiday but whatever your personal issues are, they should be checked at the door, as myself and my children do not deserve an unwarranted attitude. As my kids were excited and were looking through all the bears and items to be built, it was becoming more and more obvious that we were irritating the staff. The girl who stuffed our bears wasn't rude however, it appeared as if she did not want to be there that day and seemed very discontent. Again, I know it was a holiday and maybe it's frustrating to be working however your frustration does not deserve to be taken out on the customer, let alone young children, who is trying to have a nice experience with her family.

Brought my baby in to get a gift. The worker that was adding sound to the voice box was coughing up a storm and blowing her nose right in front of us. She was obviously sick. We didn't want our baby to catch whatever it was. Turned around, dropped the un-stuffed bear at the counter, and left.

Came here on Saturday to pick up MOCHA this is the second time I’ve been to this location and twice now I feel like I’m not welcome in this store. No one will greet you or ask if you need help. The old woman who works here is extremely unfriendly. If you hate your job don’t work at BAB.
