Jim at checkout was very disrespectful towards me. Here is the situation: There was a mother and daughter in line before me and they were still shopping at the end of the check lanes and the little girl dropped all her books and the mom was very flustered because a line was forming behind them. So instead of walking all over them I went around the front of the check lanes and went to Jim’s register. Jim began yelling at me that I can’t cut the line and I needed to go to the back and I explained to him that the mom and daughter were still shopping. The mother and daughter even said to Jim that they were still shopping and that I was fine. He told me I had to go back so I went to the back of the line (which became one other group) and ended up going to a different register (that checkout lady was amazing). I made sure to get Jim’s name and talked to a manager. The manager was apologetic but Jim came up and said that he didn’t yell or even raise his voice at me. This was a very upsetting experience and no one should EVER be treated this way. Jim made me feel like I was a lesser person just because I didn’t want to get in this mother and daughter's way. These types of behaviors need to be addressed immediately. You cannot talk to a person that way, let alone a customer spending money at your store.

This store serves as an excellent example of a classy business model who prefers the comfort of a customer over some potential revenue increase on expenses savings! The strategy obviously pays back well by steady flow of grateful return customers. Great job, Barnes and Noble! You are our nobleness beacon in the ocean of corporate greed predominance!

Love Barnes and Noble. Do I wish we had an independent bookstore instead? Sure, but I'm just glad we have something, haha. They host local author events and book clubs, which is cool. The on-site coffee shop doesn't hurt either. The reward program seems really good too.

This book store is basically as good as it gets for everyday retail book sales. There's a ton of seating for lounging around and reading your books. They have a massive variety, shelves upon shelves of all the literature you could want. The children's section is conveniently located on the second floor, so it's easy to differentiate. All of the staff were very friendly to us when we visited. I definitely suggest this place for any book lover who would like to be among your fellow nerds!
