I usually don’t review but my gosh it’s gone downhill. Most staff are helpful but some questionable. I got told 10 separate times to move and “not sit there” despite there being outlets or chairs. ITS A BOOKSTORE. Please support small businesses instead.

This is a nice barnes and noble location. I am not a huge fan of the staff at this location. They are a bit standoffish. Edited to add: I spoke with Rachel. She understood what I was explaining and kindly explained what should have happened when I asked a question. Sometimes, you just need to get a matcha and ask again. Thank you for taking the time with me today. The selection of books, journals, and magazines is very diverse.

The store is kept tidy but far from CLEAN. The chair(s), pictured, looked like a horror movie. So dingy and dirty! There were a few hard material (wooden) chairs around. I wouldn't have sat unless I was feeling a bedbug vibe. They had a nice selection of books and staff seemed friendly. The atmosphere was decent. My main complaint was at checkout. We were not discounted for the buy one, get one 50% off on two of the four books purchased. We left the store, did some quick math, then returned to the cashier who claimed to have made a mistake. Okay, we all make mistakes. BUT, if corporate didn't want to leave it to chance, why not have the digital register do the discount? Why leave it to the cashier? Looks like an easy way to make a buck.

I love the atmosphere at Barnes and Noble as a whole but this location needs work. 1. As far as I can remember, the manga is on the upper level facing the windows where the sun shines. I'd say most, if not all, of the manga are very faded and creased from constant sun damage. None of them are worth buying at all. 2. The Cafe needs more staff. Every time I come here, there is only one or two baristas working while there is a full cafe. They are very frantic (understandably) and rushing since the line builds up very fast. I used to work at Starbucks and the amount of steps in the drinks take, there is no reason to have only ONE person taking orders, making drinks AND making food. 3. I bought little wooden toy for my 6 months old here a few days ago. It did not have a price tag anywhere and was sitting on a shelf with others. I thought it'd be $30 at most so we bought it. After we left the store, I realized I had spent $50 on it. Seriously? I'm not going to return it since my son was already playing with it, but I definitely will not be buying anything from the children's section again. It was an expensive lesson.

I LOVE this place. I could spend hours getting lost in books. And the cafe is a great and peaceful place to do homework!
