Amazing Heroes Introduce

Amazing Heroes, located at 1025A Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083, is a local comic book store catering to enthusiasts and collectors. You can reach them at (908) 687-4338 or +1 908-687-4338. While it falls under the broader category of "Toy Store Near Me" due to its collectible offerings, it specializes primarily in comic books and related merchandise.

Based on customer reviews, Amazing Heroes presents a classic, "old school" comic shop experience. The store is described as well-organized and packed with a variety of items, including new and old comics, a notable collection of trade paperbacks, figurines, and other collectibles. The owner, Steve, is recognized for his extensive knowledge of comics and his ability to provide valuable guidance.

However, some customers have noted that the inventory leans heavily towards modern comics (post-1980) and has a limited selection of late Bronze Age comics. Similarly, the store's offerings for non-comic book collectors are primarily from the late 1980s onwards, and card collectors will find mainly "junk wax" era items. Pricing has been a point of contention for some, with comparisons to eBay prices and higher, and collecting supplies are generally considered more affordable on Amazon. Despite this, the store is praised for its selection of independent comics and current releases.

In summary, Amazing Heroes is recommended for those seeking modern comics and a classic comic shop atmosphere. The store offers a unique selection of items and expert advice, making it a worthwhile visit for comic enthusiasts in the New Jersey area. For other collectibles or to save money, online shopping may be a better option.

I have bee in this area for a few years and over that time I have stop at this local shop. And I have come to the following conclusion 1. I do not fine the person that work there to be rude. But the conversation I have with him has been few and very limited. 2. The store inventory is limited more to the modern and very few late Bronze Age. For the non comic books collectors 1980 till today products. For the non card collector the junk wax era meaning late 1980 till today. Every so offer there is an item that does caught my eye. But price easy turn me off. 3. The price on many is comparable to eBay prices and higher than eBay. Collecting supplies are definitely cheaper on Amazon. This store is great for Indy books and today current products but that about it. I personally would not recommend this location unless someone is looking for modern comic. All other products I would recommend the internet to save on money.

This is a top-tier comic shop. It has an excellent collection of new and old comics, one of the best collections of trade paperbacks in the area, figurines and more. The store is well organized, packed with stuff - and everything you would expect in a classic old school comic shop. Steve, the owner, knows comics well and can provide valuable guidance and information. Prices are reasonable, and the stock is high quality - and in some cases, unique. I picked up some things I was looking for that I hadn't seen in other shops. Check Amazing Heroes out if you are in NJ. It's worth the visit.

I came today during business hours and it was closed. I wonder if it's closed permanently (maybe it's ebay only?) as the windows were piled high with boxes. If it's closed permanently, sorry to see it go before I got a chance to check it out. If it's not, it would be useful to update your socials/website when closing for extenuating circumstances (or when the hours change, whatever happened here). Either way, I won't be back

I asked to see his Pokémon cards and he got mad at me, saying he has to move everything to get to them because his store is a mess. It then took him about 5 seconds to actually get the cards so I don't know why he was so mad. Then he was rude the entire time. Not sure how he's still open. Dude should find something else to do that makes him happy because he clearly hates owning a store.

Went there for the first time today and was overwhelmed by their selection. It's like a trip down memory lane. It's totally an old-school comic/collectables store that operates under the golden rule of 'what you give is what you get'. If you are nice, then that is what you'll get...have an attitude? Well, I bet you'll get that back with interest. Super nice owner who was respectful, down to Earth, kind and REAL...qualities that are quickly disappearing in this all-too-sterilized world. Support them, we NEED places like this! ***2025 UPDATE - Went there yesterday to get a comic that I could not find elsewhere and the place was exactly as I had remembered it. Great conversations abounded and I laughed a lot. Good people come to this place, it's (still) a GEM.
